Scholarship Fund

The Virginia Chandler Dykes Endowed Scholarship Fund has been established to attract the best and brightest graduate students to TWU. Scholarship awards are given annually, and the recipients share his or her research at the annual award luncheon. Four winners are selected, one from each from the following colleges:

• College of Health Sciences
• College of Nursing
• College of Arts and Sciences
• College of Professional Education

Proceeds

The proceeds from the award luncheon are split between the Virginia Chandler Dykes Endowed Scholarship Fund in the School of Occupational Therapy, and the winning recipients in each of the four colleges.  Luncheon proceeds exceeding the graduate awards presented each year are divided evenly between the Virginia Chandler Dykes OT Endowment Fund and the four TWU Colleges - creating additional scholarships for worthy TWU students.

To date, 65 scholarships, totaling over $300,000 have been given to TWU students.  Additionally, three new scholarships have been created:  the  Tuesday Morning Endowed Scholarship in honor of Kathleen Mason, the 2010 recipient of the Virginia Chandler Dykes Leadership Award, and two one-time scholarships.
