DENTON COUNTY POTTERIES
Natasha Adkins-Bugg (career services) will discuss “Denton County Potteries”
on Aug. 13 at 12:15 p.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd floor of the Denton
County Courthouse-on-the Square, 110 W. Hickory.
During the late 1800s, twelve potteries operated in Denton County, producing
functional and utilitarian wares. Ms. Adkins-Bugg curated and installed a permanent
exhibit about these potteries at the Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum. Her talk
will include stories and images of these potteries and the exhibit will be available
for viewing.
All Courthouse Museum exhibits and lectures are free and open to the public.
