Youngblood To Perform Faculty Recital At TWU

DENTON Dr. Pamela Youngblood, associate professor of
music at Texas Woman's University, will perform a faculty flute
recital at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 in the Margo Jones
Performance Hall, located at Oakland and Sawyer streets on TWU's
Denton campus. Admission is free.
Youngblood will be assisted by pianist Rose Marie Chisholm.
The performance will feature unusual music pieces from
international 20th century flute composers including
Lili Boulanger, Walter Gieseking, Eldin Burton, Georges Hüe and
Radamés Gnattalli.
Youngblood founded and directs the TWU and Brookhaven (Dallas)
flute choirs, and is a founding member of Zephyr Winds, a musical
ensemble that focuses upon rarely heard music for a variety of
instrumental combinations. She also is principal flutist for the
Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra.
