Zephyr Winds To Perform
At TWU

DENTON — The
Texas Woman’s University faculty woodwind quintet will join
Zephyr Winds in concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5 in the Margo
Jones Performance Hall, located at Oakland and Sawyer streets on
TWU’s Denton campus. Admission is free.
Zephyr Winds, a musical
ensemble with a core membership from TWU, is featured regularly
throughout the state in concerts that focus upon rarely heard music
for a variety of instrumental combinations. The concert will feature
20th century works for woodwind quintet, including Jean-Michel Damase’s
27 Variations and Gustav Holst’s Wind Quintet in A-flat.
The TWU faculty woodwind
quintet is comprised of Dr. Pamela Youngblood on flute; Dr. James
Hobbs, oboe; Garry Evans, clarinet; Noel Garcia, bassoon; and Mike
Harcrow, horn.
