TWU Offers Little Chapel Wedding Package

DENTON — Couples looking for a picturesque setting for their wedding can take advantage of an all-inclusive wedding package at Texas Woman's University with a ceremony in the Little Chapel-in-the-Woods and a catered reception.

TWU's Office of Conference Services, ARAMARK Food Services, the university's food service provider, and Candy Haven bakery have partnered to offer the Pioneer Wedding Package. The package costs $1,150 for a 50-person wedding and $1,600 for 80 people.

The ceremony part of the package includes use of the Little Chapel-in-the-Woods, plus an attendant, for an hour and one-half and use of the Chapel's two candelabras and unity candle, plus 33 drip-less candles.

The reception part of the package includes an hour and one-half reception in Hubbard Hall's Pioneer Café room, also with an attendant, plus ficus trees and ferns for decoration. ARAMARK will cater the reception which will include a champagne or sparkling grape juice toast for the couple and their guests, domestic cheese or crudités platter, fruit tray and dip, assorted tea sandwiches, mints and nuts, coffee, punch, tables and tablecloths, cups, saucers, glassware, chairs and linen napkins.

Candy Haven will prepare a two-tier wedding cake — white chocolate cake with either cream cheese or white butter cream frosting, or an Italian crème cake — decorated with one dozen live flowers.

Couples who want to take advantage of the package must hold their wedding before Sept. 1, 2003.
