DENTON — Texas Woman's University, through a nationwide network of more than 300 institutions of higher education and affiliated retirement groups, will offer educational tours abroad and in the United States this spring, summer and fall.

TWU's learning vacations, offered through the Office of Lifelong Learning, will allow participants to learn about history, art, culture and foreign customs. Spring destinations include Antarctica, Belize, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador, Morocco and Turkey. Summer programs include Alaska, Australia, Central Europe, China, Egypt, the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Peru, Spain and Turkey. Fall destinations include Australia, Central Europe, China, Egypt, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Morocco, Peru, Spain and Turkey.

The learning vacations range in price from $2,000 to $5,000 and include meals, first-class accommodations, airfare from the tours' departure cities and a unique learning experience.

Each trip is a “classroom-in-the-field” that includes on-site lectures and seminars and “people-to-people” contact to foster insight and understanding of foreign cultures. Tour groups average 14 people, with as few as eight people. Groups are never greater than 20 people.
