Taylor Named President of National Small Business Directors'

DENTON Texas Woman's University lecturer Sherrie Taylor
has been named president of the National Small Business
Directors' Association (SBIDA) for 2002. She served as
president-elect of the organization in 2001.
Ms. Taylor has been active in SBIDA for nearly 10 years and
has served as a national officer for the last five years. In
2001, she was one of the first 14 people in the United States to
earn the designation of Certified Small Business Counselor.
The Small Business Institute Directors' Association serves as
the coordinating body for the Small Business Institute program.
SBI provides student consultants, monitored by experienced
faculty, to small and emerging businesses. The TWU chapter
handles about 10 cases per year and partners with the Students in
Free Enterprise organization at the university.
Ms. Taylor has served as director of the Small Business
Institute at TWU and has been a lecturer in the School of
Management since 1993.
