DiMarco Appointed Sports Dietetics-USA Head Coach

DENTON – Texas Woman's University professor of nutrition and food sciences Dr. Nancy DiMarco has been appointed head coach of Sports Dietetics-USA, a subunit of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN).

The recently formed Sports Dietetics-USA is designed to serve the special needs of registered dietitians (RD) and dietetic technicians registered (DTR) working in sports nutrition. Sports Dietetics-USA will provide education, credentialing and advance the practice of sports dietetics as a career specialty, according to ADA and SCAN.

Dr. DiMarco's term as head coach will continue through June 2006. Her duties will include drafting a constitution and bylaws and establishing the organization's guiding principles, goals and objectives.
