TWU Student Receives Recognition From Society for Photographic Education

DENTON — Texas Woman's University graduate student Kelli Connell of Denton is one of 10 students nationwide to receive the Outstanding Student Award from the Society of Photographic Education. Recipients were selected on the quality of their work, according to SPE. More than 100 applicants were considered for the award.

Recipients received an expense-paid trip to the SPE national conference, held in March in Las Vegas, and a year membership to the society. The Outstanding Student Award is presented each spring by SPE to recognize and advance student photography.

Ms. Connell is a master of fine arts-photography student.
