TWU Prepares for SACS Visit

DENTON — A 20-member accreditation reaffirmation committee from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) will visit Texas Woman's University Nov. 18-21. The last accreditation reaffirmation visit was in 1992.

SACS is the recognized regional accrediting body in the 11 U.S. Southern states and in Latin America for those institutions of higher education that award associate, baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degrees. The Commission on Colleges is the representative body of the College Delegate Assembly and is charged with carrying out the accreditation process.

Team members will visit the Dallas and Houston centers on Nov. 20 and visit the Denton campus all four days.
