TWU Pioneer School Plans Book, Art Fair

DENTON Children's art, books and a popular cartoon
character will be the featured attractions as the Texas Woman's
University Pioneer School hosts a Book Fair and Art Show on
Thursday, April 18.
The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pioneer
School, 1900 Cherrywood St. Children's art work will be on
display, and scholastic books geared toward children from babies
to middle school students will be sold for 99 cents and up.
Clifford the Big Red Dog, from the PBS television series, videos
and books, will be available for pictures with children. Parents
should bring their own cameras.
The event is a fund-raiser for the school's parent-teacher
group.
TWU's Pioneer School is a preschool for children ages 2
through 4. The school serves as a training facility for students
in TWU's undergraduate and graduate programs and is fully
accredited by the National Association of Young Children. Founded
in 1928 as the TWU Nursery School, it was renamed in 2001.
