DENTON — Children's art, books and a popular cartoon character will be the featured attractions as the Texas Woman's University Pioneer School hosts a Book Fair and Art Show on Thursday, April 18.

The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pioneer School, 1900 Cherrywood St. Children's art work will be on display, and scholastic books geared toward children from babies to middle school students will be sold for 99 cents and up. Clifford the Big Red Dog, from the PBS television series, videos and books, will be available for pictures with children. Parents should bring their own cameras.

The event is a fund-raiser for the school's parent-teacher group.
