TWU School
of Management receives national recognition
6/17/05
DENTON —
TWU’s School of Management recently gained national
recognition with its placement in Entrepreneur Magazine’s
Top Ten Entrepreneurial Colleges — Limited Curriculum.
“This is
the second consecutive year we have made it into the top 10,”
said Sherrie Taylor, a lecturer in the School of Management
and director of TWU’s Small Business Institute.
A total of 124
schools were placed in the limited curriculum rankings. According
to the magazine, the schools in the limited curriculum category
have only a few faculty members teaching a limited number
of entrepreneurial courses.
Taylor attributed
the recognition to a combination of TWU’s Small Business
Institute, Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) and the small
business and entrepreneurship minor, as well as a focus within
the general business degree.
“This recognition
gives our program well-deserved respect in the national business
community,” Taylor said.
The list may be
found at http://www.entrepreneur.com/topcolleges.
In addition to
this most recent national recognition by Entrepreneur Magazine
for the School of Management, TWU’s graduate programs
in library services to children, school librarianship, nursing
and occupational and physical therapy are consistently ranked
among the nation’s best by U.S. News and World Report.
