Master In Teaching Open House Set

DENTON — Texas Woman’s University will hold three open houses for prospective students interested in the university’s master of arts in teaching (MAT) program, designed to prepare students who have a bachelor’s degree, but do not have teaching credentials, for initial teacher certification. Students successfully completing the program earn a master’s degree, not simply a program completion certificate.

The MAT is an interdisciplinary degree that was created for persons wanting to make a career change into the education field.

Open houses will be July 8 in the Arts and Sciences Building, located off Oakland Avenue, on TWU’s Denton campus, July 14 in the Camellia Room at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens and July 15 in Building K, Room 234 at Brookhaven College in Dallas. All open house begin at 6:30 p.m.
