TWU To Host Book Lecture/Signing

DENTON — Texas Woman’s University distinguished alumna Dr. Lou Rodenberger will discuss Let’s Hear It: Stories by Texas Women Writers at 3:30 p.m. March 24 in the Blagg-Huey Library on TWU’s Denton campus. A reception and book signing will follow.

Let’s Hear It: Stories by Texas Women Writers, edited by Rodenberger and Sylvia Ann Grider, includes stories by 22 Texas women writers. Among the authors are Joyce Gibson Roach, Beverly Lowry, Carolyn Osborn, Annette Sanford, Denise Chavez, Katherine Anne Porter and Judy Alter.

Rodenberger and Grider introduce each story and place them in historical and literary context to weave a story of their own — the story of women’s writing in Texas from 1865 to the present.

The book is published by Texas A&M University Press as part of the Tarleton State University Southwestern Studies in the Humanities Series.
