TWU Professor Receives State Library Grant

HOUSTON — Dr. Jeffrey Huber, an associate professor in the Texas Woman's University School of Library and Information Studies in Houston, has received a Texas State Library & Archives Commission LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) grant in collaboration with the Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library and Harris County Public Library.

The $63,984 award will be used to develop and implement Spanish language health literacy programming at select Harris County Public Library branches.

Huber also serves as associate research professor in TWU's Institute for Women's Health, and as associate director for research at the Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library.
