TWU Schedules Houston Commencement Dec. 15

HOUSTON The fall 2002 semester at Texas Woman's
University will draw to a close as commencement ceremonies take
place Saturday, Dec. 14 in Denton and Sunday, Dec. 15 in Houston.
The TWU Institute of Health Sciences-Houston Center ceremony
will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in the Edwin
Hornberger Conference Center of the Texas Medical Center.
Students and family members who have tickets are invited to
attend.
Approximately 115 degrees will be conferred during the Houston
ceremony.
TWU Chancellor Dr. Ann Stuart will preside at the ceremony,
which includes an academic procession, conferring of degrees and
a commencement address.
Rob Mosbacher, president of Mosbacher Energy Company, will be
the commencement speaker.
Mr. Mosbacher serves as director of the Methodist Hospital
Board. He is the immediate past chairman of The Salvation Army in
Houston, where he continues to serve as a board member. He also
is the founder and co-chairman of PSI HomeSavers, a non-profit
corporation that initiates and encourages private sector
involvement in addressing community needs.
He also serves on the boards of the Greater Houston Area
Chapter of the American Red Cross, Chase Bank of Texas, South
Texas College of Law and the Society for the Performing Arts.
Mr. Mosbacher also sits on the board of the Greater Houston
Partnership, which coordinates efforts between the business
community and the Houston Independent School District and the
Houston Community College System to better prepare the city's
children for the workplace. He serves as a member of the
partnership's executive committee and is chairman of the
education and workforce advisory committee.
In addition to his business and non-profit efforts, Mr.
Mosbacher plays the drums in a rock band.
