TWU to present “Habitat 101” Nov. 14

DENTON — Texas Woman’s University’s Habitat for Humanity chapter will highlight the plight of homelessness when it presents “Habitat 101” Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. on the second floor of the Student Union, located at the southwest corner of Bell Avenue and Administration Drive on the Denton campus.

Speakers will provide testimonials on how the Habitat for Humanity program works. A representative from Denton County’s Habitat for Humanity, a former homeless person and a current owner of a Habitat house are expected to speak during the presentation. The event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served. For more information on the event, call (940) 898-3593.

“Habitat 101” is one of many activities scheduled at TWU to mark National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, which is Nov. 13 - 10.
