TWU's Flohr Named Faculty Fellow

DENTON Dr. John Flohr, professor of music education at
Texas Woman's University, has been appointed to the Faculty
Fellows Internship Program for the spring 2003 semester.
Dr. Flohr is spending his semester in Washington, D.C., as an
intern at the Arts Education Partnership, a national coalition of
arts, education, business, philanthropic and government
organizations. The AEP promotes the role of arts education in the
learning development of every child.
Dr. Flohr's interests include music and early childhood
education, arts and psychology. He recently completed a new text,
The Musical Life of Young Children. Dr. Flohr is
president-elect of the Texas Music Educators Conference and is a
board member of the Texas Coalition of the Arts.
The Faculty Fellows Internship Program is sponsored by the
Institute for Experiential Learning in cooperation with the
American Association of Colleges and Universities.
