TWU Dance Department Wraps Up Fall Series

DENTON — The Texas Woman’s University Department of Dance will wrap up the fall concert series with two events designed to showcase the works of TWU dance students.

DanceMakers, Too will feature works that are campy and playful as well as those dealing with serious issues such as violence against women. Performances are at 4 and 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in the Redbud Theatre, located on Bell Avenue on TWU’s Denton campus. All tickets are 99 cents for the 4 p.m. performance and $3 at 8 p.m.

“Dancing on the Fringe” will feature edgy, thought-provoking works chosen for their strength and suitability for an elegant and intimate setting. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in Studio 328 of Pioneer Hall, located on Bell Avenue on TWU’s Denton campus.
