TWU Diversity Days, March 30- April 5

DENTON The Texas Woman's University Office of
Intercultural Services is sponsoring Diversity Days, March 30 -
April 5, a weeklong celebration of cultural differences and how
those differences affect the social and political dynamics of
society.
Some of the scheduled programs include:
- PRIDE Fest, an outdoor music festival celebrating gay
rights, March 30 from noon until 4 p.m. at the TWU
Amphitheater, located at the northwest corner of Bell
Avenue and Administration Drive. Admission is free.
- The Latina Film Festival, March 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00
p.m. in the Multipurpose Classroom and Laboratory
Building, located off Bell Avenue. A reception is
scheduled for 6 p.m. in room 207/208 of the Student
Center. The event is comprised of films, exhibits,
storytelling and live presentations representative of the
Latina culture. This event also is free and open to the
public.
- An Affirmative Action Rally at 4:30 p.m. on April 1 at
the TWU Amphitheater. Students will be facilitating
discussion about the pros and cons of affirmative action.
