TWU Offers Free
Diabetes Wellness Program

DENTON —
Texas Woman’s University is offering a free diabetes
wellness program beginning Feb. 14.
The program includes
supervised walking on the indoor jogging track in Pioneer
Hall, located near the intersection of Bell Avenue and University
Drive; a nutrition assessment, a fitness assessment and blood
pressure screenings. Adults diagnosed with Type 1 or Type
2 diabetes and pre-diabetic adults are eligible for the program.
Participants must
attend one of two orientation meetings — Jan. 25 or
Jan. 27. Both orientations will be at 7:30 p.m. in room 201
of Pioneer Hall. Information in Spanish will be available
at the Jan. 27 orientation. For more information, call (940)

The wellness program’s
hours will be Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.; Monday-Thursday,
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and Friday’s 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The program is
funded by the Flow Health Care Foundation and the TWU Department
of Kinesiology.
