DENTON/DALLAS — Texas Woman’s University nursing student Michaela Cortes, a TWU Honors Scholar from Dallas, is researching the Ebola virus this summer as one of only five nursing students in the country selected for a research internship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

DENTON — With articles on subjects ranging from Renaissance poetry to the Blues in Deep Ellum, Ibid: A Student History Journal — published by the Texas Woman’s University chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society — recently received the Gerald Nash History Journal Prize. DENTON — Reanae McNeal of Davenport, Iowa, a Texas Woman’s University doctoral candidate in women’s studies and a master’s student in English, recently was awarded a prestigious fellowship from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). She is one of only 14 scholars chosen nation wide for NCTE’s Cultivating New Voices Among Scholars of Color Fellowship, 2014-2016 cohort.
