TWU Students Dance For Children’s Hospitals

DENTON — Texas Woman’s University Students will take to the dance floor Friday, Feb. 27 to raise money for Children’s Medical Center in Dallas and Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. The dance marathon will begin at noon in the TWU Student Center, located at the southwest corner of Bell Avenue and Administration Drive.

Students participating in the event received pledges to stay on their feet for 12 hours. Games and other activities also are planned during the dance marathon to help students stay on their feet.

Money raised by the TWU students will help pay for high-tech radiology equipment at Children’s Medical Center and an eight-bed cardiac intensive care unit at Cook Children’s. The event is part of a Children’s Miracle Network fundraiser.

Hosting the event at TWU is the Helping Hands student organization, the TWU Campus Activities Board and Sigma Lambda Alpha sorority.
