TWU students to hear Canadian Ambassador speak Nov. 9
11/08/05
November 8, 2005 - DENTON – Thirteen Texas Woman’s
University students have been invited to hear Canadian Ambassador
John McKenna speak in Dallas on Nov. 9. These students are
in the government class “Creating Canada: The Canadian
Frontier Experience” taught by TWU Professor Dr. Lybeth
Hodges.
“We have
a great relationship with the Canadian Consulate General’s
office in Dallas,” Dr. Hodges said. “We have had
speakers from the consul come to our class in the past, and
students are excited about this opportunity to learn more
about their subject matter from the Canadian Ambassador.”
Ambassador McKenna
will speak Nov. 9 at the Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas as
part of a program hosted by the World Affairs Council of Dallas.
Prior to his appointment as the Canadian Ambassador to the
United States, Ambassador McKenna was premier of the province
of New Brunswick.
