TWU Hosts Bioterrorism Symposium

DENTON Texas Woman's University will host a symposium
on bioterrorism on Feb. 21 from 2-5:15 p.m. in room 205 of the
Classroom and Faculty Office Building (CFO), located off Bell
Avenue. The program is free and open to the public.
Symposium speakers will be:
- Col. Theodore Cieslak, M.D., chief of the department of
pediatrics, San Antonio Pediatric Center, whose
presentation is titled "Medical Management of
Biological Casualties: The Ten Commandments,"
- Dr. Robert Shope, M.D., from the Center for Tropical
Diseases, University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston,
whose presentation is titled "Hemorrhagic Fever
Viruses as Bioterrorist Weapons," and
- Dr. William Schneider, Ph.D., from the United States
Department of Agriculture, Foreign Disease-Weed Science
Research Division, Fort Detrick, Md., whose presentation
is titled "Crop Bioterrorism."
