Benavides Named TWU Human Resources Director

DENTON — Lewis J. Benavides has been appointed director of human resources/equal opportunity and affirmative action officer for Texas Woman's University. He began June 3.

Mr. Benavides has more than 15 years of human resource management experience. He was director of human resources at TestChip Technologies Inc. in Plano and worked as a private consultant before coming to TWU. He also served five consecutive terms on the Dallas Civil Service Commission.

Mr. Benavides is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University
