TWU School of the Arts events celebrate the season, mark end
of semester

DENTON —
Texas Woman’s University’s School of the Arts
will wrap up the fall semester and celebrate the holiday season
with events scheduled Dec. 1-2.
The TWU Department
of Dance will mark the end of the fall 2005 semester with
“DanceMakers, Too,” scheduled at 4 and 7 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 1 in the Dance Studio Theatre in the Dance
Building, located on the northeast corner of Bell Avenue and
Administration Drive on TWU’s Denton campus. Tickets
are 99 cents for the afternoon show and $2.99 in the evening.

TWU’s drama
and music departments join together at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec.
1, for a Holiday Concert in the Margo Jones Performance Hall,
located at Oakland and Sawyer streets. The TWU Wind Ensemble,
String Ensemble, Flute Choir, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers
will perform seasonal favorites, and the audience is invited
to participate in caroling. Admission to the concert is free.

The TWU Opera Ensemble
will present “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves, Liars, Cheaters
and Murderers,” a comedic look at the nefarious doings
of opera’s most unsavory characters, at 7:30 p.m. Friday,
Dec. 2, in the Margo Jones Performance Hall. Admission is
