Haile Honored by ANAC

HOUSTON — Dr. Brenda Haile, assistant professor of nursing at Texas Woman’s University, received the National Association of Nurses in AIDS Care 2003 HIV/AIDS Educator Award. The award recognizes a member of ANAC who has impacted the lives of those they have instructed.

"Brenda is a teacher who eagerly shares her knowledge and experience in nursing, ethics and HIV/AIDS with students, health care professionals and patients. Those privileged to learn from Dr. Haile are forever changed, not only through her presentations, but by her ability to touch every person in her presence,” ANAC said.

The ANAC was founded in 1987 to address the needs of nurses working in HIV/AIDS. The organization provides nurses with resources on HIV/AIDS care, research, prevention and policies.
