TWU Offers Little Chapel Wedding Package

HOUSTON —
Dr. Sandra Cesario, assistant professor of nursing at Texas Woman’s
University’s Houston campus, will receive the Association
of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses 2004 Award
of Excellence in Education. The award honors an AWHONN member who
is recognized by his or her peers as exemplifying the highest standards
of nursing in the area of advocacy.
The award will be presented
June 27 at the AWHONN 2004 Convention in Tampa, Fla.
Dr. Cesario’s nursing career spans 28 years. She has worked
for private and public health care facilities, caring for ethnically
and socio-economically diverse populations. She has been an assistant
professor of nursing and director of research at TWU’s Houston
campus since 1999.
AWHONN is a professional
association for nurses who specialize in the care of women and newborns.
Its 22,000 members include neonatal nurses, women’s health
nurses, obstetric and gynecology nurses, labor and delivery nurses,
nurse scientists, nurse executives and managers, childbirth educators
and nurse practitioners.
