Women’s Studies
Lecture Series Set At TWU

DENTON — Texas
Woman’s University is sponsoring a monthly women’s studies
lecture series January through April. All lectures, which will be
held from noon to 1 p.m. in room 300 of the Human Development Building
located at Texas Street and Bell Avenue, are open to the public.
Speakers and their topics
are:
- Jan. 30 — Dr.
Dene Grigar, associate professor of English, “Rhetorics
of Defiance: The Guerilla Girls, Jill Scott and Other ‘Naughty
Girls’ Who Just Don’t Behave.”
- Feb. 20 — Dr.
Linda Marshall, associate professor of social work, “Feminist
Theory: Implications for Domestic Violence Research and Intervention.”
- March 26 —
Dr. Masie Kashka, professor of nursing, “Looking Back: One
Feminist’s Personal Perspective After Age 65.”
- April 16 — Dr.
Lynn Westbrook, associate professor of library science, “Breaking
Boundaries: Interdisciplinary Information Seeking in Women’s
Studies.”
