TWU presents the 2013 “Boo at the U” Oct. 24

10/11/13

DENTON — Treats, train rides, carnival games, inflatables and a haunted house will be part of Texas Woman’s University’s annual “Boo at the U” Fall Festival Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the TWU Student Union, located at Bell Avenue and Administration Drive.

Admission is free and open to the community. Attendees are encouraged to bring one canned good per person to help support the TWU Food Pantry. For more information, call (940) 898-3641.

More than 3,000 children attend the festival each year, which includes “trunk-or-treating” – TWU’s version of trick-or-treating. Cars decorated for the season will be parked throughout the campus visitor parking lot across from the Student Union and treats will be given away from their trunks.

“Rain or shine – this event will go on and will provide a safe and happy environment for your child to celebrate Halloween,” said Lauren Meyer, program manager of the TWU Student Union. “We hope the Denton and TWU communities make plans to bring their children, neighbors and friends to the festival and join us for a night of fun.”
