Soles4Souls to collect shoes at TWU Sept. 14

DENTON — Soles4Souls, an international charity that distributes shoes to the needy around the world, will collect shoes at the Texas Woman’s University Denton campus Wednesday, Sept. 14, as part of the charity’s 2011 RV Tour.

The RV will accept shoe donations at the TWU Student Union, located near the corner of Administration Drive and Bell Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additional donation tables also will be set up around campus. Soles4Souls accepts all types of shoes: athletic, running, dress, sandals, pumps, heels, work boots, cleats, dance and flip flops, as long as the shoes are new or gently worn.

Monetary donations also are welcome and will go directly to the Soles4Souls organization.

The TWU Student Union, Center for Student Development and the Helping Hands student organization are sponsoring the event.
