TWU to present Music Showcase Concert Oct. 13

“American Neighbors: Music of Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean” will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Margo Jones Performance Hall, located at Oakland and Sawyer streets on TWU’s Denton campus. Admission is $5; children ages 12 and younger are admitted free. For more information, call (940) 898-2500.
The concert will feature the TWU Concert Choir performing selections by Canadian composers Eleanor Daley and Stephen Hatfield; the TWU Chamber Singers performing music from the Dominican Republic; the TWU Flute Choir presenting the Latin American rhythms of the mambo in the hands of Canadian composer John Palmer; and the TWU Wind Symphony performing a variety of selections including “Allegria” by Puerto Rico native Roberto Sierra.
