TWU to host fashion camps

DENTON — Texas Woman’s University will offer a creative outlet for young fashion enthusiasts this summer with fashion design and fashion merchandising camps on the university’s Denton campus.

Scheduled camps include a junior fashion design camp for students ages 10-13 and two teen fashion design camps for students ages 14-18. A teen fashion merchandising camp is scheduled for students ages 14-18. Registration is $350 per camp. The registration deadline for the first camp is May 31. TWU professors, graduate students and industry professionals will lead the camps. Fashion design camp activities will include a fashion show production, modeling, beginning sewing, basic elements of design and more. Fashion merchandising camp topics will include trend and color forecasting, brand development, accessory design and more. A tour of premier retailers also is included.
