Nationally renowned comedy troupe schedules free performance Sept. 15 at TWU
DENTON — Texas Woman’s University is bringing nationally renowned improvisation troupe the Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company to Denton for one night only, Thursday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show are free, but are limited to two tickets per patron. Tickets must be picked up at the Redbud Theater Box Office at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the show or they will be released. For reservations, call (940) 898-2510 between 1 and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The performance will take place in TWU’s Redbud Theater Complex, located on the north side of Hubbard Hall on Administration Drive. For a map of the campus, visit www.twu.edu/maps.asp.
The TWU Office of Intercultural Services and the TWU Drama Program sponsor the event.
The Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company cast is handpicked from the best improv comedians in New York City and Los Angeles. The company has produced such notable performers as Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz, Rob Corddry (“The Daily Show”), Ed Helms (“The Daily Show,” “The Office”), Rob Riggle (“Saturday Night Live,” “The Daily Show”), Paul Scheer & Rob Huebel (“Best Week Ever”) and many more. Cast credits include “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “MadTV,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “The Showbiz Show with David Spade,” MTV’s “Boiling Points,” and VH1’s “Best Week Ever,” among others.
