TWU Institute for Women's Health begins group weight loss program Feb. 1
DENTON — The Texas Woman’s University Institute for Women’s Health is starting a 12-week group weight loss program Feb. 1.
“The program will provide nutrition education and exercise motivation in a group setting to help participants meet their health and fitness goals,” said Dr. Nancy DiMarco, director of the TWU Institute for Women’s Health and professor of nutrition and food sciences.
Participants in the program are asked to meet at TWU once a week, on either a Monday or Friday from noon to 1 p.m. The first 30 minutes of the meeting will be devoted to weighing in and discussing nutrition topics. The other 30 minutes will be participation in an exercise activity.
The program is free for TWU students, $87.50 for TWU faculty and staff and $125 for the community. For more information or to sign up for the program, contact Bethany Bloom at email@example.com or (940) 898-2799.
