TWU welcomes students, families to Spanish-language Open House Nov. 20
DENTON — Texas Woman’s University will host a Spanish Language Open House for prospective students and their families Saturday, Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. until noon on the TWU Denton campus.
Sessions on freshmen admission, financial aid and campus life – including a panel of current students – will be offered in Spanish. In addition, prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to meet faculty and participate in a campus tour.
Univision radio station La Kalle 107.9 with DJ Danny Luna will broadcast from the Spanish Language Open House from 10 a.m. to noon and give away prizes to attendees.
Prospective students also could win $1,000 to be applied to fall 2011 tuition and fees at TWU. Three awards of $1,000 each will be presented to one freshman, one transfer and one graduate student at the Denton Open House. Students must be eligible for admission to TWU to claim the awards.
The open house begins at 8 a.m. in Hubbard Hall, located on Administration Drive between Oakland Street and Bell Avenue in Denton. Information sessions are scheduled until noon, followed by campus tours and residence hall viewings. Free parking is available throughout the Denton campus during the open house.
