TWU’s Youngblood to present flute recital

DENTON — Dr. Pam Youngblood, professor of music at Texas Woman’s University, promises a fun evening of music at her faculty flute recital scheduled Tuesday, Sept. 22.

The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Margo Jones Performance Hall, located at Oakland Avenue and Sawyer Street on TWU’s Denton campus.  Admission is free.  For more information, call (940) 898-2500.

“This is a particularly fun program — very listener-friendly,” Dr. Youngblood said.

The program includes “Prima Sonata” by Blaz Pucihar, a young Slovenian composer; “Sonata for Flute and Piano” by German composer Erwin Schulhoff; “Sonata Latino” by British composer Mike Mower; and “Masks” by New York composer Katherine Hoover.
