Ron Chandler to be guest speaker at TWU Feb. 25

DENTON —
Noted environmentalist Ron Chandler will speak on “Sustainable
Communities & Civic Engagement: From Texas to Thailand”
at Texas Woman’s University on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
The talk will take
place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in room 301 of the Administrative
Conference Tower (ACT) Building on TWU’s Denton campus.

Mr. Chandler is
an environmental scientist at the Florida Center for Community
Design and Research at the University of South Florida. In
addition to his work with the Water Atlas Program at USF,
Mr. Chandler also is president of the Conservation Initiative
for the Asian Elephant. He recently returned from two months
in Thailand and India, where he worked with local and regional
non-profit and non-governmental organizations to fund and
promote sustainability programs for the people and elephants
living in the area.
