TWU presents session on global activism Oct. 22

DENTON —
Chris Morrison, founder and executive director of the international
non-profit humanitarian aid organization Care Highway, will
discuss global activism in a presentation at Texas Woman’s
University Thursday, Oct. 22.
TWU’s College
of Arts and Sciences is presenting the lecture, which is free
and open to the public. The talk will take place from 2:30
p.m. to 4 p.m. in room 205 of the Classroom Faculty Office
(CFO) building on TWU’s Denton campus. For a map of

Mr. Morrison, an
Irish child raised in England during the 1970s, worked for
various charities as a university student. On a humanitarian
visit to Bosnia, he was attacked and ended up in a makeshift
hospital with minimal supplies surrounded by wounded children.
It was then he decided to dedicate his life to helping those
hurt by war, natural disasters, poverty and illness. His organization
Care Highway currently is working on projects in Kenya, Mexico,
Panama, Serbia and other countries. For more information,
