DENTON — Chris Morrison, founder and executive director of the international non-profit humanitarian aid organization Care Highway, will discuss global activism in a presentation at Texas Woman’s University Thursday, Oct. 22.

TWU’s College of Arts and Sciences is presenting the lecture, which is free and open to the public. The talk will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in room 205 of the Classroom Faculty Office (CFO) building on TWU’s Denton campus. For a map of the campus, visit www.twu.edu/maps.asp.

Mr. Morrison, an Irish child raised in England during the 1970s, worked for various charities as a university student. On a humanitarian visit to Bosnia, he was attacked and ended up in a makeshift hospital with minimal supplies surrounded by wounded children. It was then he decided to dedicate his life to helping those hurt by war, natural disasters, poverty and illness. His organization Care Highway currently is working on projects in Kenya, Mexico, Panama, Serbia and other countries. For more information, visit www.carehighway.org.
