TWU celebrates Constitution Day Sept. 17

September 8, 2009 – DENTON – Texas Woman’s
University will celebrate Constitution Day on Thursday, Sept.
17, with the presentation of “The Courage of Your Convictions:
A History of Dissent and Democracy in the United States.”
The event, which
is free and open to the public, will take place at 2:30 p.m.
in the auditorium of the Multipurpose Classroom and Laboratory
(MCL) Building, located on Bell Avenue on TWU’s Denton

The program celebrates
Americans who have shaped the understanding of patriotism
and civic engagement in the U.S. Information will be presented
in a multi-media format, which includes readings, video and
audio. A reception will follow the event.
The Department of History and Government, the Office of Intercultural
Services, the TWU Student Senate and the College of Arts and
Sciences are sponsoring TWU’s Constitution Day celebration.
