TWU to host 15th annual Monster Flute Choir Concert

DENTON — Just in time for Halloween — the Texas Woman’s University and Brookhaven flute choirs combine for the 15th annual Monster Flute Choir Concert.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 in the Margo Jones Performance Hall, located at Pioneer Circle and Oakland Avenue on TWU’s Denton campus.  Admission is free, and audience members are encouraged to come in costume for a costume parade with trick-or-treat candy.  For more information, call (940) 898-2500.

Featured works include “Sorcerer’s Apprentice;” “Lassus Trombone” with TWU music assistant professor of music Dr. Todd Schendel; and “Three Korean Folk Songs” in conjunction with the TWU School of the Arts’ “Asia and the Arts” initiative.
