TWU presents annual
spring fashion show May 4

DENTON –
The Texas Woman’s University fashion and textiles department
will host its annual spring fashion show — Montage 2007,
“Global Destinations” — at 7:30 p.m., Friday,
May 4 in the Margo Jones Performance Hall on the TWU Denton
campus.
Tickets are $10
for general admission and $8 for senior citizens, children
under 12 and TWU alumni and may be purchased at the door or
in advance at the fashion and textiles office. Group discounts
are available upon request. For more information or to purchase

This event will
showcase original design work produced by students in the
Fashion Design program. A silent auction and reception will
kick off the evening beginning at 7:30 p.m., while curtains
are scheduled to go up promptly at 8:15 p.m.
Montage is an important
fashion platform that enables graduating seniors of the TWU
fashion and textiles program to showcase their cumulative
bodies of work developed while at TWU. The event is produced
entirely by students with support from their professors and
faculty. Students involved with the show are responsible for
every aspect of the production, from fundraising and marketing
to model recruitment and the procurement of garments to be
shown.
According to Dr.
Dragoo, “This event is the pinnacle of each design student’s
academic career path here at TWU. It is a chance for them
to demonstrate the skills they have acquired while under our
tutelage, as well as an opportunity for them to show the fashion
industry and the world their creative voices and talents.”
