NEWSTIP: TWU to
host Denton, Dallas students in “College for a Day”

DENTON —
The Texas Woman’s University Chancellor’s Office
will host College for a Day on Wednesday, April 25, on the
university’s Denton campus.
More than 120 fifth-graders from Newton Rayzor Elementary
School in Denton and Jill Stone Elementary at Vickery Meadows
in Dallas, will participate in a variety
of activities on campus, including interactive kinesiology
and dance labs, a “Go to College” presentation,
a panel discussion with current TWU students, and more.
The purpose of
the program is to introduce the idea of higher education and
the importance of a college degree to students at a young
age, and to help them realize that it can be a reality.
The event is sponsored
by the Chancellor’s Office and the Chancellor’s
Circle.
