TWU’s Barbour named editor of Academic Exchange Quarterly
7/17/07

DENTON — Dr. JoAnn Danelo Barbour, professor of educational leadership at Texas Woman’s University, has been named editor of Academic Exchange Quarterly. The internationally peer-reviewed journal publishes articles that contribute to effective instruction and learning regardless of level or subject.
“In the 10th year of this journal, my goals are to make Academic Exchange Quarterly more well-known in a variety of disciplines, continue their high standards of review and recruit new feature editors who will take over established vacated topics or develop new topics focused on teaching and learning,” Dr. Barbour said.
Dr. Barbour has taught for more than 30 years in schools and higher education. She has conducted research in leadership theory, team leadership and postmodern pedagogical practices for developing leaders. She has published works on pedagogical and leadership issues, and has reviewed for a variety of journals, publishers and the university community.
Dr. Barbour is the recipient of TWU’s 2007 Dr. G. Ann Uhlir Endowed Fellowship for Higher Education Administration.
Founded in 1997, the Academic Exchange Quarterly is an independent, double-blind peer-reviewed publication with the largest multi-format readership base of any academic journal. For more information, visit www.rapidintellect.com/AEQweb.
