Zephyr Winds to
perform at TWU Feb. 21

DENTON —
Zephyr Winds, Texas Woman’s University’s faculty
woodwind quintet, will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Feb. 21 in the Margo Jones Performance Hall, located at Oakland
and Sawyer streets on TWU’s
Denton campus. Admission is free. For more information, call

Selections to be
performed include Divertimento for Woodwind Quintet by Nevett
Bartow, Partita for Wind Quintet by Irving Fine, and Septet
(1948) by Paul Hindemith. Dr. Pamela Youngblood, TWU associate
professor of music and a founding member of Zephyr Winds,
said the Hindemith Septet features unusual instrumentation
and is rarely performed.
The TWU faculty
woodwind quintet is comprised of Dr. Youngblood on flute;
Mr. Garry Evans on clarinet; Dr. James Hobbs on oboe; Mr.
Charles Hall on bassoon; and Mr. Mike Harcrow on horn. Special
guests for this concert are Mr. Larry Wells on trumpet and
Mr. Anthony Allgeier on bass clarinet.
