DENTON — The Texas Woman’s University School of
Library and Information Studies online degree program is the
fourth-largest in the nation, according to U.S. News and World
Report magazine. The rankings were reported in an e-learning
guide published in the magazine’s Oct. 16 edition.
Dr. Ling Hwey Jeng,
professor and director of TWU’s School of Library and
Information Studies, credits the ranking to the quality of
the program, the faculty and the students themselves.
“The faculty
understand very well our role as the facilitator in students’
online learning,” Dr. Jeng said. “We are fortunate
to have highly motivated students who are devoted to their
own lifelong learning. We are proud to see that they are ready
for the information technology society when they graduate.”
