TWU opens outdoor pool to public starting Saturday, May 27

DENTON
— Texas Woman’s University Fitness and Recreation’s
outdoor swimming pool will open to the public starting Saturday,
May 27.
The pool, located near the corner of Administration Drive
and Bell Avenue on the TWU Denton campus, will be open on
Saturdays through Thursdays, including Memorial Day, from
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $2 for the public and free
for TWU students and Fitness and Recreation members. The pool
will be closed to the public on Fridays for rentals, swim
lesson make-ups and staff training.
“We have a great crew of mostly college students working
at the pool this summer,” said John Cissik, TWU Fitness
and Recreation director. “We will also have fun features
like water basketball, a volleyball net and lane ropes to
divide the pool for multiple uses.”
