TWU to showcase
online degree programs, offer sessions in Spanish at Open
House

DENTON — Texas Woman’s University will showcase
its online degree programs and offer information sessions
in Spanish during an Open House Saturday, Nov. 18 on the TWU
Denton campus from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Prospective students
and their guests will have the opportunity to meet faculty
and students, participate in a campus tour and attend sessions
on admissions, financial aid, housing, student life, commuter
information, study abroad and more. Sessions in Spanish and
breakout sessions on TWU’s nine online degree programs
for working adults also will be offered at the event.
The open house
begins at 8:30 a.m. in Hubbard Hall, located on Administration
Drive between Oakland Street and Bell Avenue in Denton. Information
sessions are scheduled until 2 p.m. and a light buffet lunch
will be provided to prospective students with guests paying
$5.50 for the meal. Free parking is available throughout the
Denton campus during the open house.

In addition to
the Academic Preview that will represent all of TWU’s
academic programs, information sessions for the following
online programs will be given at the Nov. 18 Open House: Nursing
— RN to BS, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Library
Science, Bachelor of General Studies, Bachelor of Science
in Health Studies, Master of Science in Health Studies, Executive
MBA, Master of Science in Family Studies, Master of Science
in Institutional Administration.
“Our online
degree programs are designed to allow students to complete
a degree while maintaining their busy family and work schedules,”
said Teresa Mauk, TWU’s assistant vice president of
enrollment management.
Students enrolled
in TWU’s online degree programs have the advantage of
attending an accredited public university with nationally
recognized programs and affordable tuition and fees. Classes
are open to men and women, and some degrees are offered 100
percent online.
