TWU student receives scholarship from National Hispanic Institute
and Wachovia

DENTON —
Texas Woman’s University student Ms. Kylie Stanford,
a freshman from Taylor, was one of 14 students to receive
a scholarship from the National Hispanic Institute (NHI) funded
by Wachovia.
According to NHI,
a total of $20,000 in scholarships are being distributed to
14 outstanding Texas students pursuing a college education.
Ms. Stanford received her $500 scholarship during an awards
ceremony at TWU’s Denton campus Aug. 31.
The NHI is a national
educational organization that concentrates on teaching leadership
skills and strategies to high-ability Latino youth. For more

Texas Woman’s
University occupies a notable position in higher education
as the nation’s largest university primarily for women.
